Tor View Special School, Visual Mapping Project

Working with the students we produced a visual and tactile map of the school in clay highlighting the activities found in each area of the school and creating tactile trails through the school using 'objects of reference' from their timetable.

Tor View is a special school catering for children and young adults who have a wide range of Specialist Educational needs.

Other clay projects:

• Working with Fierce Festival in Birmingham to produce two brick carved thrones for the Feed Me feast. Working with Colmore Junior School, Kings Heath, Birmingham.

• Working with teachers in conjunction with the ‘Imagine’ touring exhibition to give them more confidence in the handling of clay and also making textures from just about everything to create landscape vessels. Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery and Mid Pennine Arts, Burnley.

Peel Park Y5 Accrington of the future.

Working with Year 5 and Folly with Creative Partnerships we created Accrington of the Future as imagined by the children of Peel Park Primary School.

Whitefield Infants Y2 mosaics featuring the season of the year.

Artist in school at Whitefield Infants to produce four mosaics based on the season working with Year 2 for the wildlife garden.

Other mosaic projects:

• Mosaic project with Sacred Heart Primary School, Colne. Using mosaic to tie images of the school into a wildlife area within the school grounds.

• Working with Surestart, Bacup to produce with the visitors and users of the centre six mosaics for the newly designed garden area at the back of the centre.
